All packaging machinery sold by UMPACKT Industrial is backed by a 1-Year Limited Warranty starting from the date of purchase. The warranty covers machine malfunctions caused by manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions. Damages resulting from improper operation, human error, unauthorized disassembly/modification, or routine wear and tear of standard consumables (e.g., silicone sealing strips, heating wires/elements, PTFE/Teflon heat-resistant tape) are excluded from warranty coverage. For repair or maintenance service, please contact your nearest UMPACKT regional branch office, and our technical team will promptly assist with inspection, servicing, or spare parts replacement.

Troubleshooting Heat Sealing Defects: Root Causes & Corrective Actions
1.Insufficient or Excessive Temperature: Sealing temperatures set too low lead to incomplete bonding or weak seal strength; temperatures set too high cause film burn-through, melting, or structural warping.
2.Uneven Sealing Pressure or Insufficient Dwell Time: Inconsistent manual pressure or premature handle release leads to localized seal gaps or compromised hermetic tightness.
3.Wrinkles or Contaminants in the Seal Area: Failure to lay the pouch opening completely flat or the presence of liquid, powder, or grease across the sealing surface prevents complete thermal bonding and causes micro-leaks.
4.Wear & Degradation of Wear Parts: Exhaustion of standard consumable components—such as heating elements, PTFE/Teflon heat-resistant tape, or silicone pressure pads—results in erratic heat transfer and uneven mechanical clamping.
5.Recommended Solutions & Corrective Actions:

  • Calibrate Parameters: Verify that heat sealing temperature, heating duration, and cooling dwell times strictly correspond to the film material and gauge thickness.
  • Ensure Flatness & Cleanliness: Smooth out wrinkles at the pouch mouth, wipe away residue (oils, liquids, or powders), and apply uniform downward pressure during the sealing cycle.
  • Routine Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect and replace wear-and-tear consumables, including resistance heating elements and PTFE/Teflon protective cloth.
  • Inspection for Continuous Band Sealers: Check heating blocks, cooling blocks (copper/aluminum), and seamless PTFE Teflon guide belts for proper alignment, smooth rotation, cleanliness, and flat contact surfaces.
